Jake Zyrus has been all over the news recently starting from the moment he changed his name from Charice Pempengco to his current name. Aside from that, a lot of people have been talking about the famous singer due to his openness regarding his transition from being a woman to a transgender man.
However, the topic of most people’s conversation is Jake Zyrus’ voice. Most of his fans and followers have noticed the drastic change of his singing voice as he can no longer hit higher notes, something he used to be famous for when he was still known as Charice. Still, Jake says that he is proud to not be able to reach high notessince this is a good sign that his hormone therapy is working.
Despite this, Jake wants to prove to everyone that he is an equally good performer now compared to before. In fact, the international star plans on having a concert for the first time ever as Jake Zyrus. As a bonus, he will also have a duet with none other than…Charice Pempengco!
“I am so happy about this concert dahil finally ma-e-express ko ang tunay kong sarili. Excited ako sa mga kantang ipe-perform ko sa show,” Jake said in an interview.
“Finally, sobrang excited ako sa mga music na ishe-share ko sa kanila, sa performance na alam ko na magiging komportable ako,” he added.
According to the concert’s producer, he decided to have duet with Charice so that fans who miss her will still get the chance to hear her.
Still, there’s no news as to how they’ll be able to do it.
