President Duterte, kinausap ang mga magulang ni Kian delos Santos!

President Rodrigo Duterte recently met with the parents of Kian delos Santos, the slain 12th grade student which sparked outrage among Filipinos and criticism against the current administration’s “war on drugs.”

The meeting was held at the Malacañang Golf Club two days after Delos Santos’ burial, where hundreds attended and rallied to call for justice. According to the source, the meeting was requested by the couple, Saldy and Lorenza.

President Duterte typically holds intimate meetings at the clubhouse, which is a few steps away from his Manila residence, Bahay Pangarap. Most formal meetings and occasions are held in the Palace.

During the meeting with the Delos Santoses, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, Public Attorney’s Office chief Persida Acosta, and Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption chairman Dante Jimenez were also present.

The president was not able to attend the wake of Kian as he said it would fuel too many “suppositions” about the teenager’s passing.

President Duterte also watched the CCTV footage during the death of Kian wherein he was  being dragged to the alley by the cops in civilian clothes, and agreed that a possible abuse by law enforcement personnel has occurred.

Witnesses also attested that Kian was innocent as they saw the cops hand him a gun, and told the him to run for his life, then shooting his head thereafter. The family then filed a complaint for murder againts City police station 7 chief Chief Inspector Amor Cerillo, and PO3 Arnel Oares, PO1 Jerwin Cruz, and PO1 Jeremias Pereda.

The president also vowed that the Caloocan police would “rot in jail” if proven guilty of foul play.
