Sometimes help comes from someone you least expect. People should not judge others based on their appearance. Behind every person may be a good heart with pure intentions. Netizen, Dindo Lorenzo shared a heartwarming experience with a kid he met while at a famous fast-food restaurant.
At around 1 am, Dindo decided to pass by a McDonald’s branch in Sta. Maria, Bulacan He wanted to buy food for his family for them to eat when he got home.
While pulling his phone from his pocket, he did not notice that his cash fell on the floor. Apparently, the money amounted to P7000 and was all in one thousand peso bills.
Meanwhile, when he was already inside the store, a certain kid got his attention. A young boy called him and returned the cash that fell. It was just then that he realized what happened.
As a token of appreciation, he offered to order food for the boy. However, the young one refused, saying he was full. The netizen then decided to just give the boy some cash. The kid was thankful and said that he would give the money to his mother. The Good Samaritan revealed that his father was not capable of working anymore because of poor eyesight.
Furthermore, the boy said that running away with the money did not cross his mind. He added that it was not his to keep so he returned it.
The good deed garnered positive responses from netizens.
This young boy had done something that many would probably not do. It is not usual that you could pocket money like that so easily on the streets. Despite being poor and not having much, he knows what is right from wrong. He is a good example not just to kids like him, but to everyone.
