NCRPO Chief nagbigay ng pahayag ukol sa pagkamatay ng Grade 11 Student na si Kian Delos Santos sa kamay ng mga Pulis.

Director Oscar Albayalde, Chief of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), said that the police officers involved in the dubious killing of 17-year-old Kian Loyd Delos Santos were “most probably liable” based on the CCTV footage that was circulating.

In an interview with DZBB, Albayalde said:

“Nakita ko lang po kasi iyan sa TV no, ‘di pa natin nakita ‘yung talagang footage na ‘yan. Kung talagang sila po, talagang parang most probably may pananagutan itong ating mga kapulisan.”

Albayalde also said that the Philippine National Police (PNP) Internal Affairs Service (IAS) is currently conducting an investigation into the incident. Albayalde said the police officers involved in Kian’s death have since been fired.

Director Albayalde mentioned that he has yet to watch the footage. However, he has asked for a copy from the IAS.

“Kung ako po personally, wala po kong kopya. But I’m sure ‘yung ating IAS, ang ating investigation division ay hihingi po niyan.”

Footage of the incident shows a police officer wrapping nhis arm around Kian’s neck and dragging him to a secluded spot. It is in that secluded spot where Kian was believed to have been summarily executed. The police officers who shot the teenager claim that he was armed with a .45 pistol.

Kian’s parents vehemently deny the accusations that their departed son was a drug runner. They say their boy was a diligent student who dreamed of becoming a police officer. Sadly, his idols where the very same people who took his life.

Kian’s death has caused many netizens to cry out in protest over the Duterte regime’s bloody war on drugs. The hashtag #JusticeForKian has been trending on Twitter this past week.
