Nowadays, if we accidentally left our valuables unattended in a public place, there is a possibility that they will be stolen from us. There is also the possibility that we may simply forget about them and eventually lose them.
However, this “padyak” boy or pedicab driver challenged many of the netizen’s expectations. Kryts Bermundo, a Facebook user posted an update about a “padyak” boy from Mendiola who returned a lost phone to its owner.
The pedicab driver named Pacundo (not sure if it is his real name or not), was said to have waited a week for the cellphone’s owner to show up. In the post, it is said that many people have already offered money to Pacundo to buy the phone. But Pacundo stood to his words and waited for the owner to show up first. It was not the first time that Pacundo surrendered a valuable thing. Just recently, Pacundo was said to have surrendered a phone that was worth 25,000 pesos.
As always, netizens flooded the post with positive comments. They poured Pacundo good words, thanked him and expressed their wish that there are more people like Pacundo.
